Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have commenced investigations of one Ibekwe Izuchukwu Emmanuel, a sales representative of Prince OJ Global Services Limited and Miracle Onyekachi Nnaji, a Point of Sale, POS operator for alleged criminal diversion of N70, 030, 450 (Seventy Million, Thirty Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty Naira) belonging to the company.

The trial of former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Adoza Bello, continued on Thursday, February 5, 2026, before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, with the Eight Prosecution Witness, PW8, Gabriel Ochoche, testifying how the sum of N46,505,000( Forty Six Million, Five Hundred and Five Thousand Naira) was transferred into the account of American International School.

The trial of Abdulrasheed Maina, former chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Task Team, continued on Thursday, February 5, 2026 before Justice Abubakar Kutigi of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, Asokoro with the judge threatening to revoke the defendant’s bail for employing multiple antics to stall his trial.

The Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 arrested a Kannywood Star, Samha Inuwa over alleged Naira mutilation.

Inuwa was arrested following a viral video circulated on social media platforms where she was seen conspicuously cleaning mucus from her nose using Naira notes.

Following the release of the viral video, the Commission swung into action by tracing and subsequently arrested her to answer questions.

She is currently being held at the Commission's detention facility while investigation is ongoing.

The suspect will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations. NNL.
