The Taraba State Federal Road Safety Corps Command (FRSC), has begun its ember months campaign to maintain speed and also free eye check for drivers.
Sequel to the directive issued by the Corps to carry out the 2021/2022 Ember month Campaign from September which marks the beginning of EMBER months, and its Operation. It is on this note that RS3.3 Taraba State Sector Command organized its 2021 Ember month public Education Campaign flag off with the theme:" MAINTAIN SAFE SPEED, AVOID NIGHT TRAVELS AND ENJOY QUALITY ROAD EXPERIENCE".
The occasion which commenced around 10:30 am in Jalingo, the Taraba state capital, had, in attendance, the governor of Taraba State represented by the Director of Taraba State Board of Internal Revenue- Mr Felix Manthy the Corps Marshal's representative- The Zonal Commanding Officer Zone 3 Yola (ACM- OSAS OSADEBAMWEN), Service Chiefs the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Correctional Service, Nigeria immigration service, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Medical teams from specialist hospital police clinic, Royal fathers Nurtw, Fleet operator stakeholders.
The keynote address by the Zonal Commanding Officer welcomed Sector Commanders. The address focused on the theme: Overloading and night travels, and maintaining a safe speed. Several Goodwill messages on different areas of traffic regulations were also delivered by the invited dignitaries and other stakeholders present at the event.
A lecture was however delivered by Dr. Angela on visual field effect on speeding (GOOD VISION). A Free Medical test was carried out, vision Aquity text measurement blood pressure was carried out on drivers and motorists.
The official flag-off was performed by the Representative of the government with the Assistant Corps Marshal's Sector Commander and other distinguished guests. NNL.
