A grandson of the first republic Premier of Northern Nigeria and the Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, is dead.

He passed on at the weekend, on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in Kaduna State at the age of 51 years. His name is Alhaji Hassan Danbaba, the Magajin Garin Sokoto. He reportedly slumped, according to family sources.

The source further confirmed that Danbaba's remains will be flown to Sokoto for burial according to Islamic rites.

For many in Sokoto, the news of the demise of Danbaba was very devastating considering his philanthropic prowess over the years.

The deceased who buried his 75 years old mother, Aishatu, the second daughter of the late Premier, Ahmadu Bello in April, 2021, was until his death, a father of 6 from 3 wives and a successful business man. He was chairman of Stonehedge Hotels, Abuja, and a Board chairman, Sokoto State Rima Basin Development Authority. NNL.
