The appointment came barely three days after his three months official retirement leave from the same establishment. The appointment is seen as a further affirmation of confidence in Ochije Chukwuka and his competence while in service at the TCN.

On Sunday, March 10, 2024, the people of Oguta under the auspices of Oguta Community Development Union (OCDU) Abuja Branch, led by its chairman, Mr Ikem Ohanyere, paid a courtesy visit to Mr Chukwuka in his home to felicitate with him on his new appointment.

A well designed large and creative congratulation card was presented to him for making the community proud by his diligence and commitment to his assignments which gave him the recognition.

Recounting his years of long journey to his present appointment, Ochije, as his Oguta Community people often refer to him, narrated the inspiring story of his journey from a humble beginning as an Account Clerk with the defunct National Electricity Power Authority (NEPA) to how he was chosen for his new assignment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. A story he ended by giving praises and glory to God Almighty.

According to Ochije, an Accountant who holds a traditional chieftaincy title of 'Ogbuagu' (conqueror of the lion) in Oguta community, he rose through the ranks in both NEPA and TCN before the government decided that his expertise was still needed in a higher capacity in TCN.

Responding, the OCDU Chairman Abuja Branch, Mr. Ikem Ohanyere, said, "we (Oguta people) have full confidence that you will excel in this role and that you will continue to make Oguta community proud with your accomplishments".

An elder of Oguta, a recently retired Deputy Comptroller of the Fire Service, Mr. Quintus Azogu, while extending his heartfelt congratulations to Ochije, however charged him to always cherish the values that Oguta people holds dear as a community. According to Azogu, Oguta community strives to help uplift and empower one another, knowing that "each success story within our midst strengthens the fabric of our society".

Another Oguta Elder, Mr. Sunday Uzokwe, reaffirms the people's belief in nurturing talents, supporting one other and celebrating successes and achievements together. He reminded Ochije that some other privileged Oguta persons supported, mentored and cheered him along the journey to his success story, and therefore told him that his success belongs not to him alone, but to all Oguta people.
