  • Atiku: WHAT MANNER OF UNIFIER?

    By Frederick Nwabufo

Atiku Abubakar’s campaign motif is vacant of imagination. His ‘One Nigeria campaign’ theme is also destitute of originality and sincerity. Personally, I feel insulted and trolled. And I feel plagiarised. I would explain why.

  • Azu's Book On Monetising Media Writing: AN ENTERPRENEUR'S PERSPECTIVE

    By Max Amuchie

In December last year on my last day of work before Christmas I sat alone in my office in Abuja reflecting on my life's journey. I thought about my years in the media especially the few years since one ventured into entrepreneurship. I remembered my post on Facebook in June 2015 announcing my resignation as Managing Editor at Leadership Newspaper and the planned unveiling the following month of Sundiata Post as an online newspaper. I thought about the people whose paths I have crossed in the media. I reflected on the statement made by Colonel Abubakar Dangiwa Umar (Rtd) when as Military Governor of Kaduna State in the late 1980s he said he could follow then Military President Ibrahim Babangida to war blindfolded. That was a deep statement of loyalty. Never mind that Col. Umar recanted after the annulment of the 12 June 1993 election in which the late MKO Abiola won. I thought about the people that have made so much impact on my life and wondered if there was any of them I could follow to war blindfolded.

    By Ezeh Jude O.

Almost all our past leaders on khaki do evoke some sort of situational irony each time they discuss burning national issues from their respective retirement homes. They suddenly become 'omniscient,' proffering solutions to all the problems facing us as a country, (even though their missteps in office visited most of these misfortunes upon us), and they would want their predecessors to heed their advice and fix them with magic wands.

    By Michael West

If marriage is run the way God the Initiator had ordained it from the beginning, there would not be the need for separation or divorce. Human failure to imbibe the culture of love, tolerance, patience and forgiveness upon which relationships are built, engenders hostility and bitterness which do manifest as abuse and violence in marital relationships.
