President Muhammadu Buhari, at the weekend, urged the Nigerian electorates to vote for his party, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and it's Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming general elections.
Buhari assured Nigerians that Tinubu remains the most trusted, reliable candidates that the country need to advance the course of development and unity.
He called on Nigerians to trust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)'s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu with their votes in the February 25 Presidential election.
Buhari who spoke at the presidential rally in Lafia, the Nasarawa State Capital, said the former governor of Lagos State is one Nigerian with passion for the country, trusted and capable to lead the nation to an enviable height..
Buhari maintained that he has been an ally of Tinubu for over 20 years, and together they have been struggling to build the country’s politically, adding that the APC’s presidential candidate remains a committed Nigerian always on the part of progress and development of the country.
"I know Ahmed Bola Tinubu for more than 20 years. I will continue to campaign for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He is a committed Nigerian and I believe he will give all he has to this country and to you Nigerians.”
"God willing, Tinubu would be the next president of the Nigeria. I call on Nigerians to vote for all the APC candidates during the general elections", Buhari declared..
"I congratulate you the people of Nasarawa state and thank you all for defying the hot weather, standing for more than three hours for this rally. I assure you that God's willing, we are going to win and be victorious in all our elections.
In his address, APC’s presidential candidate eulogized the qualities of President Buhari, describing him as a compassionate leader whom some disgruntled politicians are bent on pitching against me as well as APC.
“But let me tell them that they are wasting their time because the relationship between me and Mr. President has been cordial for over 20 years.
"Those who think there are cracks in our friendship and relationship will continue to be disappointed and have their short time joy limited. Ours is not about individual, it is about nation building, honesty, integrity and character,” Tinibu stated.
He said President Buhari has proved skeptics who think a military General of his ilk cannot lead a democratic process wrong, adding that the president has demonstrated that he is a true democrat of Abraham Lincoln’s standing.
He said only a committed and steadfast leader like Buhari could courageously navigate through the many challenges he had, noting that despite the dwindling oil revenue, rising insecurity and disturbing activities of those who are bent on derailing the country, Buhari could still soldier on.
He promised the president that he would not disappoint him and Nigerians if he is given the opportunity of leading the country as President. NNL.
