As preparations for Local government elections slated for the 17th October 2020 hots up, a chieftain of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) Honourable Danlami Garba Abubakar, has said that the APC has produced candidates that has the capacity to wrestle power with those of the ruling People Democratic Party, PDP . Danlami who was a former chairman of Toro local government told our correspondent on Thursday that his party will prove its popularity to the world at the polls.
"Now that Bauchi state is at the verge of local governments' polls, the All Progressives Congress (APC) being the major opposition party in the state will salvage the downtrodden electorates of the state from the captivity of PDP-led Bauchi state government.The PDP has since lost popularity and integrity in the eyes of the impoverished Bauchi populace due to poor leadership style and incessant unpopular policies.
"It is now evidently crystal clear even to a blind, APC's imminent return to power in Bauchi state" he said
The former local government chairman commended the efforts of the minister of education Adamu Adamu for his efforts in uniting the party members and addressing some of its challenges with a view to strengthening and preparing it for next elections.
"He is now a unifying figure of the party being the leader in the state. The education minister has made several efforts to maintain decorum and unity in the party at both state and national levels" he added. NNL.
