Nigeria's President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Wednesday, appointed Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack as new Head of Service of the Federation. She replaces Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan.
The appointment which is with effect from August 14, 2024, was announced on Wednesday evening through a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
The new Head of Service designate, Mrs. Walson-Jack, has served in several ministries and was appointed a Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017 in the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Mrs Didi Walson-Jack will take over the baton from the out-going Head of the Civil Service, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, who retires from service on August 13, 2024.
While thanking Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan for her service and dedication to duty as Head of the Civil Service, President Bola Tinubu however enjoined the new appointee to show same dedication and integrity to her job and focus on innovation and strict compliance to the extant Civil Service rules and regulations.
