The Rehabilitation of water treatment plan, water works and drilling of boreholes in Bado water pumping station has commenced in earnest. As at the time of the visit by management of the state water board the men of the contracting firm Judadu Ventures Limited were busy carrying out various aspects of the work.
Speaking, the Project Manager of the company Alhaji Umar Abubakar said two out of the five boreholes have already been drilled and are working on the third one. He said the pumping house is being expanded and all facilities for the construction of overhead tanks in Bado and Kasarawa areas are also on the ground.
According to him, the erection of the overhead tank in Bado has been commenced while that of Kasarawa would follow any moment from now as casting for the foundation has since been completed. The project manager further explained that laying of water pipes would equally be commenced for reticulation into the areas of the benefiting communities.
While praising the support and cooperation being enjoyed from the state government, Alhaji Umar Abubakar, also commended the commitment of state's Commissioner for Water Resources and Acting General Manager State water board. He also gave a pass mark to the team of supervising engineers of the board for exhibiting a high sense of professionalism. He therefore reiterated the commitment of the firm towards executing a quality job and hoped for more contracts from the state government.
Also commenting, the General manager of the state water board, Alhaji Sama'ila Sanda Umar, expressed satisfaction with the quality of the work done so far. NNL.
