Renowned radical scholar and public intellectual, Professor Udenta O. Udenta, will today, mark his 60th birthday anniversary with the presentation of his 21th book and a national dialogue with the theme: 'How To Make Nigeria Work'.
A brief statement by the eminent scholar on Monday, September 4, 2023 and which he personally made available to NIGERIAN NEWSLEADER Newspaper, said the epochal event will be held at the main auditorium of NAF Conference suites, Kado Road, Jahi area of Abuja.
According to the statement, the Chief Host of the event is the governor of Enugu state, Barrister Peter Ndubisi Mbah, while the Chief Presenter of the Book is the governor of Bauchi state, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed. The former president of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, will be distinguished chairman of the occasion.
Other distinguished guest honour are the former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the former governor of Anambra State and 2023 Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr Peter Obi.
The statement said the book presenters are: Sir Emeka Offor, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Chief Ben Okoye, Chief Pat Chidolue, Prof Obiora Okonkwo and Chief Ben Ozoadibe. The keynote speakers are: Dr Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti State and Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education and Solid Minerals.
The book reviewer who will dissect Professor Udenta's intellectual productions is another notable scholar and the former chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Professor Sam Amadi.
Panelists for the event's National Dialogue are: Chief Osita Chidoka, Senator Shehu Sani, Rev Fr George Ehusani, Elder Kunle Fagbemi, Owei Lakemfa and Rex Odoemenam.
The Fathers of the day for the event are: Chief Emma Iwuanyanwu, Senator Jim Nwobodo, Chief Ayo Adebanjo and Alhaji Tanko Yakassai. Mothers of the day are: Iyom Josephine Anenih, Ambassador Kema Chikwe and Ambassador Justina Eze.
