Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi, on Wednesday, played host to his counterpart in the Environment Ministry, Hon. Balarabe Abbas Lawal, in a bid to foster inter-ministerial collaboration.
The meeting which was held behind closed doors is no doubt part of the innovative initiatives of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration to foster a sense of inter-ministerial collaboration and thinking out of the box in tackling different developmental challenges facing the nation.
According to the Special Adviser (Media) to the Works Minister, Hon. Uchenna Orji, the mandate of the Federal Ministry of Environment focuses on innovative strategies that emphasize the use of environmental re - engineering as a veritable tool for job creation, poverty eradication, food security, sustainable economic development and general improvement in the livelihood of Nigerians.
He said this requires a great deal of the works sub- sector to be actualized. NNL.
