Nigeria's President, Muhammadu Buhari, has expressed his deep condolences to the family and members of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) on the demise of the founding Cleric of the Ikotun Egbe, Lagos-based worship center, Pastor Temitope Balogun Joshua, otherwise known as "T. B Joshua".

The Synagogue Church announced on Sunday morning that Pastor T B Joshua whom the church members often refer to as "Man of God" or "Papa", died on Saturday arising from minor health complications at the age of 57, just one week to his 58 birthday on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

According to a statement on Sunday by the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, President Buhari urged his family to consolation on the exit of their breadwinner as only God knows why his demise occurred at this time.

The President also said Pastor Joshua loomed large in the minds of his followers and therefore will definitely be missed by them by his spiritual contributions and his philanthropy.

Buhari also urged Pastor Joshua’s followers to take solace in the knowledge that life is not measured and defined by chronological longevity but by enduring legacies and lives touched positively. He also condoled with the government and people of Ondo State and prays that God Almighty will accept the soul of the deceased televangelist.

Meanwhile, Joshua's wife, Evelyn, broken her silence since the news of her husband’s death was made public on Saturday. Reacting on her Twitter handle, @Mama_Evelyn, she wrote that, "Losing a loved one is never easy; whether sudden or foreseen. It is always heart-breaking. Grief can wreak havoc on our overall well-being. That’s why it’s important to stay rooted in the Almighty. Only He can lessen our heartache and comfort us in these times. Seek refuge in him.”

Pastor TB Joshua's however condoned in a flurry of messages in response to her tweet expressing her deep grief over her husband's passage by Synagogue members, followers, and admirers of the late controversial preacher.

Many of the commentators on her tweet described her as the "pillar" of the late Synagogue founder. NNL.
