Gumau stated that he had been distributing vehicles to constituents and party loyalists to empower them, adding that this time around, he deemed it fit to extend the gesture to religious organizations in the senatorial district.
The lawmaker urged religious clerics to reciprocate by preaching peace, unity and good values in the society.
"This gesture is to encourage you as religious groups in your service to God. You are to reciprocate this gesture by preaching peace, unity, and good morals to members of the society. Also, use this festive period to pray for the peace of the nation as we approach the new year" he said
He also asked them to assist the country with fervent and consistent prayers in order to enable it to get rid of the myriad of its challenges especially the insecurity bedeviling parts of the nation.
Responding, the representatives of the religious groups, Malam Isma'il Katsinawa and Reverend K. Jajah, expressed appreciation to the Senator for the donation, saying it was an honor to them which they will justify the confidence reposed in them.
