Bauchi State Police Command has arrested and paraded five suspected kidnappers terrorizing Lame Bura Forest and armed robbery suspect for being in possession of prohibited firearms.

This was contained in a press statement issued by the State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Mohammed Ahmed Wakil, for the Commissioner of Police, which was made available to newsmen in Bauchi

According to the statement, on the 22/9/2020, at about 1100hrs, one Ashiru Alhaji Munkaila of Unguwar Yamma Bureau, came to the Burra police station and reported that on the same date at about 0200hrs, some unknown armed men stormed the house of his master, one Alhaji Shano of Dabar Baga village, outskirts of Burra village and kidnapped two of his daughters,namely Aisha Shano, age 10years and Hauwa Shano, age 11years of the same address.

The statement said that the kidnappers made away with new Bajaj motorcycle valued at the sum of N250,000 and a Nokia Handset, valued at the sum of N7,000 to an unknown destination, adding that upon receipt of the report, a team of policemen were drafted to the scene. and recovered one empty shell of single barrel.

" On the 28/09/2020, the same hoodlums came back and kidnapped their father, Alhaji Shano of the same address and collected the sum of N2 million as ransom.Upon preliminary investigation, the following suspects arrested include 25 year old Shehu Bello, 20 year old Isah Ilya, 28 year Ado Ahmadu of Gomo Burra Ningi local government, 37 year old Kabiru Bello of Basaea Burra local government and 37 year old Rabiu Mani of Burra Ningi local government while three suspects namely Gambo Maikudi, Ibrahim Unable and Abdulaziz Tasiu are now at large.Efforts is being intensified to arrest the fleeing suspects" The statement read

The statement said that on the 03/10/2020, at about 0400hts, the Chairman of vigilante Magama came to the Division headquarters Toro and reported that on the same date at about 0100hrs, one Abubakar Sadiq, age 25 years of Ludduga village of Toro local government, armed with sticks, hammer and knife, stormed into the house of one Sani Hussani, Sale Yahaya and Abubakar Madaki, all of Bargan Fulani Toro LGA and robbed them of N5,700.

"The said Abubakar Sadiq is a habitual criminal presently on trail in court for the offence of criminal conspiracy and culpable homicide in 2018 and more recently unlawful possession of firearm in May 2020, both of which, he was granted bail by the court.The suspects have made a voluntarily statement to the police.Consequently, the Commissioner of police, Lawan Tanko Jimeta has ordered for the immediate transfer of the cases to the State Criminal Investigation after which the suspects will be charged to court", the statement added.
