The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13 Police Headquarters, Ukpo-Dunukofia, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo, has decorated two newly promoted officers elevated to the ranks of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) respectively.
The Officers, according to Zone 13 Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Chidera Oha, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, includes DCP Nzota Chidiebere, and ACP Akuchi Blessing.
The colourful ceremony, which took place at the Zone 13 Headquarters, comprised two segments: the decoration of senior officers and the presentation of certificates of award to outstanding participants at the just-concluded Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA), Asaba 2026.
In his remarks, the AIG congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to uphold professionalism and discipline in the discharge of their duties. He further encouraged them to show greater commitment, noting that the reward for hard work is more work.
In the same vein, the AIG presented certificates of award to 109 outstanding athletes who made the Zone proud at the just-concluded Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA), Asaba 2026.
Zone 13 Police Command comprises Anambra and Enugu Command placed fourth overall at the Games held in Asaba, Delta State, and winning a total of 109 medals. The medals comprises: 43 gold, 21 silver, and 45 bronze medals.
AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo commended the participants and encouraged them to perform even better in future competitions.
The event was attended by senior officers, including the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, and the Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, CP Mamman Giwa. NNL.
