* Decorates Him With Honorary Doctorate Degree In Public Administration

The Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief (Dr.) George Moghalu, was, at the weekend, honoured for his contribution and excellence in public governance by the Gregory University, Uturu, Abia state.

Muoghalu was decorated with a Doctorate Degree Award (Honorary Causa) in Public Administration by the authorities of the institution at its 7th Convocation Ceremony held on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

In a statement in Lokoja on Saturday by the General Manager (Corporate Affairs) of NIWA, Jibril Darda’u, he said Chief George Muoghalu, according to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Uwakwe Augustine Amadikwa, was selected for the honorary Doctorate Degree Award based on his track record in Public Office and contribution to national development.

An elated Dr Muoghalu, however expressed his deep appreciation to the University for finding him worthy of the honour. The NIWA Managing Director promised to further dedicate himself to the service of the country, especially in the area of socio-economic and human development of Nigeria in general and his state Anambra in particular.

Moghalu assured the University of his support in anyway he could and also promised not let the University down in the trust bestowed on him. “I will continue to do more and more for the Nation", Muoghalu pledged. NNL.
