DSS Admits: EMEFIELE, NOW IN OUR CUSTODY

Barely a few hours after denying having Mr Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) in their custody, the Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed that Emefiele is now being held by the State Security Agency.

The confirmation was made on Saturday afternoon, June 10, 2023 by Dr Peter Afunnanya, the DSS "Corporate Meguard" (a description in Nigeria PR parlance). He explained that the embattled Emefiele is being held by the DSS in its facility 'for some investigative reasons'.

The DSS spokesman, Afunnanya, however enjoined the members of the public, particularly the Media, to apply utmost caution in the reportage and narratives concerning the Emefiele's case. NNL.
