Zamfara state government has commended the ongoing military aggressive onslaught against bandits and other nefarious criminals in the state.
The state Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Abubakar Mohammed Dauran, made the commendation in an interview with journalists in Gusau on Tuesday.
Dauran described the ongoing fight by the military to dislodge recalcitrant bandits in the state as positive action needed to rid the state of criminals.
"This ongoing operations by the military in all parts of the state against recalcitrant bandits is the best thing to happen as the bandits will be eliminated from the state.
"Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle and we the entire members of his cabinet are happy and in total support of the ongoing operations by the military to crush all recalcitrant bandits and other nefarious activities in the state," he said.
The commissioner said the ongoing full kinetic action taken by the military would go a long way to bring back peace and security in the state.
Dauran assures that the state government will continue to provide all needed support and assistance to the military and other security agencies in the fight against bandits, kidnappers, cattle rustlers, and other criminals in the state.
The commissioner called on the citizens of the state, particularly where affected by the bandit's activities to support the military by providing information about the hideouts of the bandits to enable the military to crush them.
"Like what governor Matawalle always says, security is the business of everybody, so I call on the people in the affected areas to help the military in the fight against bandits," he said. NNL.
