The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Sokoto state command, on Thursday, decorated 67 newly promoted officers with different ranks.
Advising to the newly promoted officers, the Commandant, Sokoto NSCDC Command, Usman Ishaq Alfadarai urged them to see the new feat as yet another opportunity given to them to do more in the service of God and humanity.
Giving breakdown of the new promotions, Alfadarai said 9 officers were promoted to DCC, 6 to ACC, 4 to CSC, 21 to SC, 6 to DSC, 14 to ASC1 and 9 ASC11 respectively.
'"To whom much is given, much is expected, and now you have been recognized and given higher responsibly which therefore means, you must work more for peace and tranquility in the state and country at large",
Addressing the newly promoted officers, governor of Sokoto state, Ahmed Aliyu represented by his Special Adviser, Guidance and Counseling, Garba Bello Kebe, said security agencies in the state are doing their best.
Newly Promoted ACC Moses Ochidi who expressed his gratitude to God and the NSCDC.
The governor however appealed to them to do more towards restoring sanity in the state.
Speaking in a goodwill message, Sokoto state Commandant of the NDLEA, Mohammed Iro said the Commandant General of NSCSC is committed to upliftment of the morals of the officers.
""The agency appreciates your commitment which was the reason for this promotion. And for those still expecting, keep puting in all your best. Your time will surely come", Commandant Iro enthused.
Reacting to the promotion, Moses Ochidi one of the officers promoted from Chief Superintendent of Corps (CSC) to Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) said it's a memorable day in his life.
"'Indeed, it's a great day. It's a memorable day for me. That, I was recognized by my work, and promoted due to the magnanimity of the Commander, General of NSCDC is something I will forever remain grateful.
"'And I want to promise that with God on my said, I will put my best with more dedication in the job to ensure that we promote peace, law and order in Sokoto state and Nigeria at large", ACC Moses Ochidi pledged. NNL.
