Celebration and tumultuous joy, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, pervaded the quiet and peaceful Ishi-Ozalla community, a gateway town to Nkanuland, as the delectable wife of the king of the community, Her Royal Majesty Lolo (Mrs) Eucharia Ukamaka Okeke (Nee Nwachukwu Okereke) celebrates her 67th birthday anniversary.
Lolo E.U.Okeke (the Ugegbe-Eze Ishi 1 of Ishi-Ozalla) is the wife of the popular and avunclar paramount ruler of Ishi-Ozalla Autonomous community, His Royal Highness Igwe Sylvanus Aniachunam Okeke (Ezi Afa Ka Ego, meaning: Good Name is Better Than Money), the Ishi 1 of Ishi-Ozalla.
A palace statement on Thursday by the secretary to the traditional royal council of Ishi-Ozalla community, Engr. Innocent Nwoha Obodo, SPPE, NMS, (+FNANS), described the community's beloved royal queen as a traditional woman leader, who, apart from providing immeasurable support to her husband in the successes he has so far achieved in the community since assuming the royal throne in 2021, has also demonstrated uncommon leadership and vision in galvanizing the Ishi-Ozalla women folks.
His Royal Highness Igwe Sylvanus Aniachunam Okeke (Ezi Afa Ka Ego) and Ishi 1 of Ishi-Ozalla and husband of the celebrant, Her Royal Majesty Lolo (Mrs) Eucharia Ukamaka Okeke (the Ugegbe-Eze Ishi 1 of Ishi-Ozalla).
The palace scribe, Engr. Inno Obodo who is also an experienced Metallurgical and Material Engineer, member of the American Society of Petroleum Scientists, and a notable selfless community servant and Catholic church leader, however said in the statement, that prayers of prosperity were said for the celebrating royal queen amidst merriment in the community for God Almighty to elongate her life in good health and for Divine strength and wisdom in her onerous service to her community, Ishi-Ozalla, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu state.

Lolo Eucharia Ukamaka Okeke whose birthday this year fell on the traditional Nkwo Market Day, was born on August 28, 1958 in Ishi-Ozalla, Nkanu, in the Eastern flank of Enugu state. She is a retired Okigwe based prominent businesswoman and notable commodity trader in household food products.
As a beautiful young and brilliant maiden growing up in her community, her sterling conduct endeared her quite early in life to her monarch husband, Igwe Sylvanus Okeke, who immediately took interest in her to the extent of getting her parent to have Lolo betrothed to him through the traditional Ozalla ancient marriage custom and cultural practice called "ikuwa nwanyi".

Over the years, their marriage has flourished in love, true friendship and spousal understanding, which played a key role in the couple building a peaceful, love-filled and stable home. Lolo Eucharia Ukamaka Okeke had children for her husband, most of who are very successful and reside with their families in Europe and different parts of the world.

Among the side attractions at today's birthday celebration of Lolo Okeke include the Local purchase of costmary rural commodities at the community's food and commodity market in Nkwo Ishi-Ozalla market square; participation at the Roman Catholic Church Mass Prayers at the community's parish, St. Vincent Catholic Church, Ugwundaru, Ishi-Ozalla; distribution and dishing out of food and drinks to the high and mighty and to the rank and file community people.
