Ah Among us, one of the games that kept us playing this year, this hit 2020 game by innersloth, is being released on Nintendo Switch today. The news was publicized during a special indie game-focused Nintendo Direct. The game will feature cross-play between platforms.
Among Us is an online game, in which players team up to complete tasks and solve puzzles around the ship to unmask the impostors among them. Meanwhile, the imposters quietly assassinate as many other players as they can before they are caught. Although the game first came out in 2018, it’s recently become a sensation, its recent popularity is greatly attributed to Twitch, played by streamers and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Among Us has become so popular, This in fact caused innersloth to cancel the game’s sequel to improve and carry on the original.
The game picked up the award for best multiplayer title of the year during this year’s Game Awards. The game is expecting a new airship map next year.
