Nigeria's former Vice President and the 2023 Presidential flagbearer of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has said that the country has witnessed the worst level of mass poverty, insecurity and unemployment under the regime of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) since the dawn of current democracy in 1999.

As the 2023 general elections draws nearer, an elder statesman in Niger state, Alhaji Aminu Muhammed Sanni, has challenged Nigerians, youths in particular, to resist temptations of selling their votes or refusing to participate in the build up to the elections out of fears that their votes will not count.
The composition of the Media and Communication Directorate of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu-Kashim Shettima campaign has been announced.
