With the recent restructuring and the reorganisation of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) by the Chairman/Chief Executive, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd) by creating Zonal Commands across the Country, the Zonal Commander, Zone H (for Lagos and Ogun States), Mr Oke Olusegun Kolawole, Assistant Commander General of Narcotics (ACGN), has reported to base and assumed duty.
He reported to the Zonal Command Headquarters Ikoyi on Friday the November 26, 2021, at about 12.30 pm. On his arrival, he was received by the State Commander, Lagos State Command, Barr. Callys Alumona (CN) and his management team.
Before his appointment and redeployment to Zone H, Kolawole was the State Commander of the NDLEA Bauchi State Command.
He was one of the pioneer senior officer of the Agency who started his career at the very beginning after the establishment and formation of the Agency in 1990.
Since then, he has been holding positions of authority at different formations and in different capacities, among which are:
An officer in charge of cargo operations in NARCO cargo wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA).
Instructor at the Agency Academy Jos.
Commandant of the NDLEA Academy Jos.
State Commander, Kwara, Oyo, Osun and Bauchi State Command respectively to mentioned but just a few.
A well travelled man, he attended many International courses in the UK, USA, Singapore, Thailand, Isreal and South Africa. He obtained his Bsc and Msc in Political Science from the University of Lagos and a Phd, in view (International Relations) University of Abuja.
He hails from Ihunbo Idi-Iroko, Ipokia in Ogun State. He is happily married with Children and Grand Children. NNL.
