The first female governor of Anambra state, Dame Virgy Etiaba, has congratulated the new governor-elect of Anambra state, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, on his victory.
In her message of felicitation to the new governor, Dame Etiaba, whose first son, Chief Ben Etiaba, was the candidate of Action Alliance (AA) in the just concluded governorship election, said the election of Soludo was an indication that Anambra state seem set to achieve further successes.
The ex-governor urged Soludo whom she described as "Odenigbo" to endeavor to build on the successes of his predecessors and justify the enormous confidence the people of Anambra state have reposed in him. According to Dame Etiaba, she nurses no doubt about the ability and competence of Soludo to succeed as governor of Anambra State in the coming years. Dame Etiaba said "I look forward to a new Anambra State with you not only to develop the State and foster closer relations between our citizens but also to concert our efforts in the cause of peace and the brotherhood of all peoples.
"Our dear Governor-Elect ‘Odenigbo’: To Almighty God be all the glory and adoration for the outcome of this unique election of last Saturday, 06 November 2021. Our very dear Anambra State seems set for further successes as you assume the mantle of leadership in just a few weeks.
"Please accept my warm congratulations on your victory and my best wishes for your success as you prepare to take up the responsibilities and challenges of your high office.
"I urge you to build on the successes of your predecessors and justify this enormous confidence our people have reposed on you and I have absolutely no doubt about your God-given capacity to do so", She stated. NNL.
